Water Bottle Puppets

Let’s make water bottle puppets for infants and toddlers. Older children love them too!

Read: “Fall” by Roger Priddy. A Bright Baby touch and feel board book. A wonderful little book for infants and toddlers. But preschool children will also enjoy its photographs and the touch and feel pictures.
Rhyme: Autumn
Materials needed: water bottles of different sizes, pictures of trees, squirrels, leaves, pumpkins, scarecrows, etc., material to fill the bottle that will make a sound when the child manipulates the bottle: rice, beans, stones, flour. Use super glue to glue on the caps (We don’t want those caps coming off.)

Directions: The pictures should be big enough to cover the water bottle. The twist is that the picture will go inside the water bottle. After inserting the picture you can fill the bottles at different depths and with different materials to change the weight of the bottle.
