Five Little Pumpkins


Read: “Pumpkin Soup” by Helen Cooper. A cat, a squirrel and a duck all make soup together. But need to work through a problem about who will do which chore.



Rhyme: Five Little Pumpkins


Materials needed: orange construction paper, cut out pumpkin face features, pumpkin leaves, scissors, tongue depressors, glue.

Directions: Cut out 5 pumpkins of different shapes. Add pumpkin face features.

Instructions: Use the pumpkins when saying the rhyme. Can be done with felt for the felt board. Or have each child make a pumpkin and have them play the game until all the pumpkins have rolled away.
