How do Apples Grow Story Book
Read: One Red Apple by Harriet Ziefert (Author) and Karla Gudeon (Illustrator) This story follows the life cycle of the apple from seed to market.
Rhyme: An Apple Seed Grows by Debbie Hasbrook M.Ed.
Materials Needed: Two red pieces of construction paper cut in the shape of an apple. Several pieces of white paper, stapler, crayons.
Directions: Staple the white sheets between the red apples. Each day, after you read the story, have the children draw the sequence of the growth of the apple tree, going to market, and eating them.
