The Tortoise and the Hare

Board games are a great teaching tool when it comes to math.
This one is simple, roll the dice and move the number of spaces shown on the dice. Before playing the game have the children read the story of "The Tortoise and the Hare. " An online version can be found here.
On our Game board we added the squares that say "Take a nap! Skip 2 turns" and "Slow and steady wins the race, you may go ahead nine spaces."
