Large Mouth Frog Phonetics



 

Mr. Loud Mouth frog is having a busy day,

eating as many flies that come his way.

But when he eats these flies,

he makes a different sound for each one.

Rhyme: FROG

 
Materials needed: a container such as a salt shaker, construction paper, pictures of flies (or one’s you make.), felt marker, large wiggly eyes, paint.

Instructions: Paint the salt shaker green.

Cut a hole in the top of the container big enough to insert and remove cards.

Cut out a frog face and cut it in half. Put on the top, and one on the bottom leaving space in the middle.
 

Cut out flies and attach to index cards. Write the letters on the back.

Have children pick a card, tell the letter name and sound. Place into the frog.
